OMIFCO ranked among Top 10 GCC Businesses

Adding to the plethora of awards and accolades it has garnered over the past several years, Oman-India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO), a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company, won a place among the Top 10 GCC Businesses of 2017 at a high-profile awards ceremony hosted by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on 31 January 2018.

At the event, which was held at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, OMIFCO was presented with the highly coveted ‘Sharjah Top 10 GCC Businesses Award 2017’. OMIFCO was one of several winners of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Network Awards that were handed out at the prestigious ceremony. 

The awards were instituted in 2002 as one of Sharjah Chamber’s initiatives to promote the adoption of corporate governance, adherence to quality standards and strong work ethics, empowerment of private sector enterprises in driving economic development, and to support economic institutions in launching new projects and initiatives.

The awards were presented by Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (who is also Chairman of Sharjah Economic Excellence Award Board of Trustees), and Khalid Bin Butti Al Hajri, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
