Top CSR Award for Salalah Methanol
Salalah Methanol Company was among three companies recognized for their top-quality Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes at an awards ceremony hosted by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on January 15, 2018 in Muscat.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of H.E. Yahya bin Mahfouh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council. Also in attendance was H.E. the Minister of Legal Affairs, as well as a number of Undersecretaries and Members of the State Council and Shura Council.
Salalah Methanol Company, along with Oman LNG and Omantel, were cited for their substantive CSR programmes at the awards ceremony. SMC in particular has supported comprehensive and far-reaching CSR programmes targeted at all sections of the local community and society in Dhofar Governorate. Between 2012 and 2017, the Company funded and implemented a total of 220 CSR projects supporting various social, educational, sporting, cultural and community-related causes.
